Our Story

Engenium, a certified minority/woman-owned company by the U.S. Small Business Administration, is a professional services firm focused on talent management for tech-driven and specialized positions, led by a team — talented in their own right — Ana and Jason Irving.

Founded in 2014 by Jason, who serves as the firm’s chief operating officer, his wife and business partner, Ana, joined the company in 2020 as the chief executive officer. 

Jason brought to Engenium his vast human resources experience includes owning, leading, and consulting for global professional services companies. While Ana, a Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Professional in Human Resources (PHR), helped to open a more diverse service portfolio, with her professional certification as a Development Dimensions International (DDI) Certified Facilitator, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and her ROI Certification.

Jason and Ana have worked in the staffing industry specializing in MS&T and government functions and together, bring over 50 years of human resources expertise to the Engenium team.

  • Recruited for and supported the Veterans Administration, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force.

  • Supported prime contractors on the Air Force Medical Modeling, Simulation & Training (AFMMAST) program to identify and hire roles throughout the country.

      • Our Roles included Medical Simulation (Med Sim) Technicians, Program Managers, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Specialists, 3D Modelers, Nurse Educators, and Med Sim Specialists.
      • Helped support prime contractors growing the U.S. Army’s Synthetic Training Environment (STE) program by hiring Systems, Software, Test, Product Managers, Project Managers, and Army Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create a fully immersive virtual world for training.
  • Helped grow the U.S. Army’s Synthetic Training Environment (STE) team by hiring Systems, Software, Test, Product Managers, Project Managers, and Army Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create a fully immersive virtual world for training.
  • Delivered engineering support, including Test Engineering, Visual Systems, Systems Engineering, and Field Engineering, for large prime contractor to build a full-size naval bridge simulator.
  • Provided Test Engineering, Field Engineering, Systems Engineering and Logistics support for the Navigation, Seamanship and Ship-Handling Trainer (NSST)
  • Supported Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to design cutting-edge Med Sim nurse training curriculum and program.
  • Identified, recruited, and trained mobile Med Sim workforce to travel throughout U.S. on a per diem basis, including those who could set-up, operate and maintain Human Patient Simulations, also known as manikins.
  • Provided training for patient actors in wide range of medical simulation and healthcare training scenarios.
